The two villages – Manayathadam and Kaithappara in Idukki, Kerala, South India, are located in a protected forest region. The villages have no electricity and rely exclusively on solar energy.
Small-scale local cacao farms use self-sustainable farming practices to grow cacao beans with extra fine flavor and aroma.
This type of beans was originally brought in from the Philippines and the Indonesian island Amboyna in 1798 by The British East India Company, catering to the Europeans living in India.

one table spoon (20-30 gr) of chocolate with 0.2 or 0.3 l of hot milk / water, either in a blender or using a hand–held blender.

heat 100-150 ml of cream 33% fat, add one table spoon of chocolate, stir well or mixed by hand blender
cool
prepare hot chocolate a normal way with or without milk, let it cool down in the fridge and serve it with ice or ice cream.
